Sharing Closet

What we do

Survivors escaping violence often leave home with nothing but the clothes on their back.

Our Sharing Closet offers free clothes, bedding and small household items. Comfort kits are also available. Our kits include travel-size toiletries like soap, shampoo, deodorant and toothpaste.

This program increases a survivor’s self-esteem and independence by providing everyday essentials to start a new life.

Donations

If you would like to donate new or gently-used clothing or small household items, please contact our office at 604 589-1868 or [email protected].

Hours of operation

Our team is available 24-hours a day, seven (7) days per week, 365 days per year to help you access emergency medical, legal and social services.

How to get a hold of us

Call 604-583-1295 to speak with a support worker if you are considering your options. You do not have to go to the hospital or make a police report to use our services.

Please help us keep survivors safe

In 2024, 187 women and girls were killed by violence (Canadian Femicide Observatory for Justice and Accountability). In Canada, 59% of transgender and gender-diverse people experience violent victimization (Statistics Canada, 2020).
