Introducing the Windrose Allied Survivor Support Program
A wind rose, or compass rose, shows direction and wind speed at a particular location and is used in navigation on maps and nautical charts.
At Windrose, we offer survivors a haven after the storm, and guidance as they choose a direction forward. Whatever course they decide to chart, we help them navigate systems and support them on their journey to a new horizon. [/vc_column_text]

Who is Windrose for?
Windrose will welcome any survivor of sexual violence, regardless of their gender identity. An accessible, gender-inclusive washroom will be available and there is elevator access.
Our doors will be open to anyone that a survivor may need or want support from, including their loved ones or a support worker from another organization. If you need somewhere to meet with a client safely, please reach out to us.
What services will be available?
Windrose will continue, expand, and unite the current services of Surrey Women’s Centre, our SMART program (Surrey Mobile Assault Response Team), our partnership with Surrey Police Service, and more in one location.
Get orientation and support through forensic exams, reporting, and legal proceedings, and help with safety planning, temporary housing, and benefits applications like the Crime Victims Assistance Program (CVAP).
Receive urgent, compassionate, and culturally sensitive treatment from a trained forensic nurse, including forensic exams, evidence collection, and referrals to follow-up care.

We will have an on-site interview room for making statements and providing evidence, with your support worker right beside you.
Bad Date Reports support the safety of sex workers by sharing information that helps the community identify and avoid abusers and predators.
4 to 6 sessions for survivors of any gender identity who have recently experienced sexual violence. Find compassionate support for lasting healing and a safe space to reclaim your strength.
Weekly drop-in group sessions enable survivors to find connection, understanding, and encouragement with each other.
Stopping the Violence provides free counselling to self-identified women and gender-diverse people over 19 who have experienced sexual violence, childhood abuse, and/or intimate partner or family violence.
Our social enterprise, Dignity Counselling Services, offers counselling to anyone over 14. Clients can self-pay at $120/hour or be covered through their extended health benefits, CVAP, WorkBC, and more.
When will Windrose open?
Renovations are currently underway, and Windrose will be up and running in Spring 2026.
Once open, services will be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
